Former President Donald Trump, the leading Republican candidate for the 2024 presidential election, confirmed that if he loses in November, he does not plan to run again in 2028.

Can't Even Imagine it

In an interview aired on Sunday, September 22, Trump stated:

"I don’t see myself there. I just don’t see it,” when asked about a potential 2028 campaign. "I can’t even imagine that," the 78-year-old former president added, signaling that 2024 could be his final bid for the White House.

However, Trump remains optimistic about his chances in the upcoming election, where he will face off against Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.

"I think this will be it," he said, expressing hope for a "successful" outcome on November 5.

Refused to Accept Defeat

Trump’s comments come amid an unexpected turn in the presidential race following President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the contest.

Biden, who has struggled in recent polls, left the door open for Vice President Kamala Harris to challenge Trump in a race that experts now describe as highly unpredictable. Recent polls show Trump and Harris neck and neck in several key battleground states.

Trump, who has repeatedly refused to accept his defeat to Biden in the 2020 election, has also been hesitant to fully commit to accepting the outcome of the 2024 race, continuing to raise concerns about election integrity in recent months.
