British Princess Anne Suffers Memory Loss After Concussion
British Princess Anne has been affected by memory loss following a concussion due to an accident over the weekend.
Several British media outlets, including The Telegraph, have reported on this incident.
The 73-year-old princess remains hospitalized, receiving treatment for both the concussion and head injuries sustained during the accident, which occurred at Gatcombe Park, her residence in Gloucestershire.
The exact circumstances of the accident remain unclear, but it is known that the princess was out walking on Sunday evening when she suffered the concussion.
Her medical team indicates that her injuries are consistent with those seen in individuals struck by a horse's head or leg. Princess Anne, a former Olympic equestrian, still keeps horses today.
Conscious but Experiencing Memory Loss
Hospital reports state that Princess Anne was conscious on Monday but is experiencing memory loss as a result of the accident.
An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene following the accident. However, after receiving initial treatment on-site, the princess was transported to the hospital by road rather than air.
It remains unclear whether the princess was accompanied or walking alone at the time of the accident, and it is also unknown who raised the alarm.
Both her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, and her two children, Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips, were at the estate when the accident occurred.
