Canada’s Department of National Defence has in a recent statement, clarified that it imposes no geographic restrictions on the use of military equipment supplied to Ukraine. This announcement, reported by Tass, comes amid intensified conflict in the Kursk region of Russia.

Previously, Ottawa had avoided addressing whether Canadian-supplied weaponry could be used within Russian territory. However, the recent CBC report underscores that Canada does not restrict the deployment of its military aid to any specific geographic area.

The Canadian-made Roshel Senator armored personnel carrier, recently spotted in footage from CNN near the Russia-Ukraine border, has drawn attention. This vehicle's presence has sparked discussions about the extent of Canadian support to Ukraine and its potential implications.

The situation in Kursk has escalated significantly since August 6, when Ukrainian forces launched a major offensive.

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that over 720 people were evacuated from the region in the past 24 hours alone, with more than 9,500 individuals currently residing in temporary shelters. The area has been declared a federal emergency zone due to ongoing hostilities.
