Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban met with former President Donald Trump on Thursday at Trump’s residence in Florida, as announced by a spokesperson for Orban.

'Peace' Mission

According to Digi24 the Hungarian leader, who describes himself as being on a “peace mission,” emphasized his confidence in Trump’s ability to address global challenges, proclaiming, “He’s going to solve it!”

Orban's recent diplomatic activities have included visits to Kyiv, Moscow, and Beijing, which he frames as part of his peace mission related to the Ukraine conflict.

However, it's worth noting that Brussels has not mandated Orban for this mission.

The meeting with Trump is also characterized by Orban as part of his broader peace initiative. “Another stop on the peace mission: negotiations with President Trump,” Orban wrote on Facebook, where he posted a video of their meeting.

Supports Trump

The two leaders discussed various “peace possibilities,” according to Orban's spokesperson. Orban’s trip to the United States also included participation in the NATO summit in Washington.

A fervent supporter of Trump, the nationalist Hungarian leader had previously met with Trump in Florida in March last year.

Donald Trump is currently campaigning for another presidential term, aiming to unseat the incumbent Democrat, Joe Biden, in the upcoming election on November 5th. As both leaders continue to engage on international issues, Orban’s endorsement of Trump underscores their ongoing political alliance and shared perspectives on global peace strategies.
