In his evening address on November 13, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported an escalation of Russian offensive operations in the Kupiansk area of Ukraine's Kharkiv region.
The press release came after a briefing with Ukraine’s Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
"Commander Syrskyi provided a thorough report on the front lines, particularly highlighting Donetsk and the occupiers' push to expand their offensive toward Kupiansk," Zelenskyy stated.
He expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian brigades holding defensive positions in the area.
Ukrainian defense officials noted that Kupiansk and surrounding areas continue to endure sustained attacks as Russian forces attempt to regain a strategic position near Kharkiv, despite strong Ukrainian resistance.
The Ukrainian General Staff earlier reported an attempted Russian assault in the Kupiansk direction, with some Russian soldiers reportedly wearing Ukrainian military uniforms. You can read more about it here.
