Check your pantry—certain Ritz crackers are being recalled across Canada due to an undeclared allergen.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall for Original Mini Ritz Crackers sold in 200-gram resealable bags.

The affected products have the UPC code “0 66721 02774 0” and one of the following best-before dates printed on the packaging:

  • January 22, 2025

  • January 23, 2025

  • January 24, 2025

If your package matches the recall details, do not consume the product. You should either dispose of it or return it to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

Why Are Ritz Crackers Being Recalled?

While no allergic reactions have been reported, the recalled product may contain milk, which is not listed on the label. For individuals with dairy allergies, consuming these crackers could trigger a severe allergic reaction, including anaphylaxis.

Symptoms of a severe allergic reaction to dairy may include:

  • Hives

  • Nausea or vomiting

  • Abdominal pain or diarrhea

  • Tightness in the throat

  • Difficulty breathing

  • Cardiac arrest

If you or someone else experiences symptoms of anaphylaxis, call 911 immediately.
