A popular salad dressing sold at Trader Joe’s has been pulled from shelves due to a labeling mistake that could pose serious health risks for people with food allergies.

The company announced a recall of its 12-ounce bottles of Hot Honey Mustard Dressing on its website, citing undeclared allergens including peanut, sesame, soy, and wheat.

These ingredients are not listed on the label but may be present in some bottles due to a packaging error.

The affected bottles are marked with SKU 80152 and a use-by date of May 27, 2025.

They were sold in Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, North Carolina, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

Health Risks and What to Watch For

These undeclared ingredients can trigger severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis—a potentially life-threatening condition that may cause:

  • Difficulty breathing

  • Dizziness or fainting

  • Nausea or abdominal pain

  • Rapid heartbeat

  • Swelling or hives

Anyone with allergies to peanut, sesame, soy, or wheat should not consume this product.

Trader Joe’s advises customers to throw the product away or return it to any store location for a full refund.
