A Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) attack on the village of Krapivnoye in the Shebekinsky District of Russia’s Belgorod Region has killed one person and injured four others, including two children, according to the region's governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov.
"A civilian was killed on the spot from his injuries," Gladkov said in a statement on his Telegram channel. "Four civilians were wounded, including two children."
A 14-year-old girl was among the injured, suffering from a mine-blast injury and foot wounds. She was initially taken to the Shebekinskaya Central Regional Hospital and will be transferred to a regional children's hospital for further care.
Her mother is in serious condition with injuries to both legs and her hip, and she is being transported to Belgorod City Hospital No. 2.
A 3-year-old girl also suffered a closed head injury, and her mother has mine-blast injuries and cuts. They are both being taken to hospitals in Belgorod.
The attack caused damage to four private homes, damaging roofs, windows, and facades. A gas pipe was also broken, and a passenger car and a truck were damaged.
Authorities are assessing the extent of the damage, and emergency services are responding to the situation.
